Performance by Dr L Subramaniam, Ambi Subramaniam and Ensemble at Teatro Fernán Gómez on November 5, 2013.
Madrid witnessed yet another sterling performance in Jazz and fusión music by Dr L Subramaniam and his ensemble on November 5th 2013 at Teatro Fernán Gómez. Dr Subramaniam is an acclaimed Indian violinist, composer and conductor, trained in the classical Carnatic music tradition and Western classical music, and renowned for his virtuoso playing techniques and compositions in orchestral fusion. He has collaborated with Yehudi Menuhin, Stéphane Grappelli, Ruggiero Ricci and Jean-Pierre Rampal, further to making albums and performing with Ruggiero Ricci, Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample, Jean-Luc Ponty, Stanley Clarke John Handy, George Harrison and several others in the past.
For the above performance, he was joined by his son Ambi Subramaniam and his Wife kavita Krishnamurthy.
The event was a joint effort of the Embassy of India with Casa de la India.
